2008-08-03: New Framework with extended capabilities: ICAO codes, Google Maps and VirtualEarth Maps
We completey re-wrote our framework in order to update the capabilities of our search engine. These include the addition of ICAO codes and the possibility to display the airports either on Goolge Earth maps or on Virtual Earth maps. Please note, that the corresponding data still needs to be included into our database.
In the past we had the problem that several robots seemed to have downloaded our complete dataset. Therefore we had to disable the search per country as the only selection criterion. Additionally we included a captcha code as a security mechanism.
